In this article, you will learn how to control your smart bulb(s) from your White Series Inovelli switch(es). Smart bulbs require full power to them at all time, so we will potentially be utilizing Smart Bulb Mode on your Inovelli switch plus the combination of multi-tap scene control using the Apple Home app.

1x Smart Bulb Wired to 1x Smart Switch
In this example, you have a smart bulb that is connected to the load of your smart switch as shown below.
Because the above example has the Inovelli switch wired directly to the smart bulb, we will need to use Smart Bulb Mode to ensure the smart bulb always has power to it, then use a combination of multi-taps to turn on and off the bulb.

First, put your Inovelli White Series switch into Smart Bulb Mode by holding down on the top part of the paddle (on) while simultaneously tapping the configuration button four (4) times (do not let go of the paddle when finished tapping the config button). Wait for the LED Bar to flash solid yellow (and then let go of the paddle) indicating the switch has enabled Smart Bulb Mode.
Start by opening up your Apple Home app and clicking on your Inovelli White Series smart switch
Click on, "Show as Single Tile" (if it says, "Show as Separate Tiles, please ignore and go to Step 3)
Click on the, Switch Tile that was created in Step 2
Click on, "Add" next to, "Single Press" under the first, "Button 1" (this will set it so that when you tap up 1x on the White Series switch paddle, it will turn on the bulb -- if you want to utilize a multi-tap, then select Double Tap)
Select the smart bulb you want to turn on
Feel free to rename your automation
Check to see if the bulb is turned on (if it is, then feel free to skip this step) -- in this example you can see that the bulb is off, so click on it
Slide the slider to whatever level you want your bulb to turn onto (Optional: Select a color to change your bulb to)
If everything looks good, click, "Done"
Now we'll set the automation to turn off the bulb when you press down on the Inovelli White Series switch
Click on, "Add" next to, "Single Press" under the second, "Button 1" (this will set it so that when you tap down 1x on the White Series switch paddle, it will turn off the bulb -- if you want to utilize a multi-tap, then select Double Tap)
Select the smart bulb you want to turn off
Feel free to rename your automation
Check to see if the bulb is turned off (if it is, then feel free to skip this step) -- in this example you can see that the bulb is off, so we can proceed to clicking on, "Done". If the bulb says, "Turn On", then click on the bulb and use the slider to turn it off.
Your screen should look like this when completed -- if so, then feel free to test out your automation by tapping up on your switch to turn the light on and down on the switch to turn it off
