Button Combinations
The Gen 1 On/Off Switch w/Scenes has many different button combinations that indicate what the switch is doing or what settings and parameters are being changed.
Standard Button Combinations are used to either pair/remove your switch
Quick Tap Sequences is a quick and easy way to change the important parameters (ie: change LED status indicator or invert switch).
Standard Button Combinations

Pairing & Removing
To include (pair) your Gen 1 On/Off Switch w/Scenes (NZW30-S), put your hub in inclusion (pairing) mode and tap on the top of the paddle (on) 6x rapidly. The LED should blink a couple of times quickly and then long blink once if successful.
Quick Tap Sequences
The Gen 1 On/Off Switch w/Scenes has various settings and parameters you can change at the switch itself via a sequence of taps at the paddle.

Example: If you'd like to change the LED Indicator status on your Gen 1 On/Off Switch w/Scenes, you would tap on the top of the paddle (on) part of the paddle ten (10) times.
Enable/Disable Local Protection Mode
To enable or disable Local Protection Mode on your Gen 1 On/Off Switch w/Scenes, first, check the firmware version you have. For firmware version 1.03, tap the bottom of the paddle (off) eight (8) times rapidly. For firmware version 1.04, tap the bottom of the paddle (off) eight (8) times rapidly followed by the top of the paddle (on) two (2) times rapidly. This feature is not available on all other firmware versions.
Each time you go through the sequence via paddle taps, it will enable and then disable local protection mode.

Change LED Indicator Light Behavior
To change the way the LED Indicator light behaves when turning on/off the switch on your Gen 1 On/Off Switch w/Scenes, tap the top of the paddle (on) ten (10) times rapidly. There are three different options:
Light On = LED Off (Default)
Light Off = LED On
Disable LED
Each time you tap 10x on the top of the paddle, it will cycle through the three options above.

Invert Switch
To invert your Gen 1 On/Off Switch w/Scenes, tap the bottom of the paddle (off) ten (10) times rapidly. Each time you tap the bottom of the paddle ten times, it will cycle between the way the switch is positioned (ie: inverted or not).
