REMINDER: This module is only to be used to control AC Motor exhaust and ceiling fans. Do not use the module on any sort of DC Motor.
IMPORTANT: Before installing your fan module, please ensure the fan motor is set to high speed if the fan has a pull-chain (if not, don't worry about this warning). If you notice that after you install your fan/light module the speeds are not as fast as they were prior to installing your module, it's likely that the motor was not on high (please adjust if you find this is the case).
NOTICE: You may notice that there is a, "Max Speed" level inside of your app. This is a bug inside the driver that we have no control over. There is no, "Max Speed", so please ignore.

Matter Devices and Controllers Must Be on the Same L2 Network

This is the digital setup instructions for the White Series Smart Fan/Light Canopy Module on the Google Home platform.

Quick Setup Instructions
Follow these if you have already installed the Canopy Module before and are just looking for some quick pairing instructions. If this is your first time installing the Canopy Module, please skip this section and work your way through the various sections below starting with the Prerequisites.
This section assumes the following:
You have a compatible Google Home
You’re aware of the limitations
You’ve wired the device.
Let’s begin:
Open up your Google Home App and click on, "Devices" at the bottom
Next, click on, "+ Add"
Click on, "Matter-enabled device"
Scan the QR Code on your device (located on the back) or the QR Code on the back of your package
Google will then ask you if you want to connect this device to your Google Account - click, "Agree"
Google will continue to add your Inovelli device and your LED will start to pulse blue as shown in Video #1 (if it’s not, begin the pairing process (see Video #2) and start again) -- if successful, the LED will flash green three (3) times
Click, "Done" once complete

If your LED Indicator refuses to pulse blue, then please hold down on the Pairing Button for approximately 20 seconds until the LED Indicator turns Red and then let go. The LED Indicator will blink red three times to confirm as shown in the video below.

Google Home Limitations
Google Home is a fantastic hub that offers a ton of features along with voice control and is backed by an amazing company.
With that said, there are some limitations with the hub that you should be made aware of.
There is no way to access many of the module’s advanced Inovelli features and settings from the Google Home app. Google Home primarily exposes the standard Matter controls for the fan and light, so certain advanced configuration options and parameters will not be available within the app.
The fan and light are exposed as separate controls since the canopy module independently controls the fan motor and light.
Some configuration may need to be performed outside of Google Home. Settings that Google Home does not expose through Matter will need to be configured using the available local configuration options or another supported method.
The way the canopy module appears in Google Home may differ from other platforms. Google Home determines how the module’s Matter endpoints are displayed and organized, so the number and arrangement of controls may differ from platforms such as Apple Home, Home Assistant, SmartThings, or Hubitat.
Prerequisites
There are a couple of prerequisites required for pairing your Matter device to your Google Home and they are as follows (NOTE: Most of these are enabled by default on your router, so you likely won't have to do anything):
Make sure your Google Home app and your compatible Google Home Border Router firmware is up-to-date

Installation Instructions
Before setting up your device within the Alexa app, yyou will have to manually install your device and have it powered up. In order to do that, you (or your licensed electrician) will need to follow our Wiring Instructions which can be found below:
Pairing Instructions
Please follow the instructions below to include/pair your White Series Fan/Light Canopy Module
Open your Google Home App and click on the, "Devices" tab at the bottom
Click on the, "+ Add" button
Click on, "Matter-enabled device"
Click, "Agree" when Google asks if you want to connect the device to your Google account
Scan the QR Code on the backside of your device (or on the back of the device box)
While your Google Home hub is scanning, make sure your module LED Indicator is pulsing blue as shown in Video #1 – if it’s not, press the Pairing button three (3) times as shown in Video #2. The LED Indicator should start pulsing blue and, if successfully paired to SmartThings, it will briefly turn green

Google will then connect to the device, generate Matter credentials, check your network connectivity, and connect your device to Google Home. Once your device is connected, click on, "Done"

IPv6 Networking is Required for Matter Networks. Link-Local Addresses Are Allowed, Look for a Setting in your Router Called “Enable IPv6.” (Note: This does not require you to configure the IPv6 connection for your entire network)
Back on your, "Devices" page, you will see 6 different devices (as shown below in the red rectangle). Unfortunately, there is a quirk with Google in that it shows all the device's endpoints and 4 of the 6 devices are useless. In the below example, the device labeled, "Inovelli Fan/Light Canopy Module" is not usable, whereas the device circled in blue is your actual device, and the device circled in green is an endpoint that is used to set color notifications.
NOTICE: You may notice that there is a, "Max Speed" level inside of your app. This is a bug inside the driver that we have no control over. There is no, "Max Speed", so please ignore.
Once your module is successfully paired, check to make sure you have basic functionality of your module by turning the fan and light on/off.
If you'd like to change your module's fan settings to operate as a ceiling fan or your module's light settings to dimmer mode, please move on to the, "Module Configuration" section below.

Module Configuration
In this section, we will help you change your module's fan and light settings (ie: Exhaust or Ceiling / On/Off or Dimmer).
By default, the module is set to, "Ceiling Fan" mode (ie: 3-Speed) and, "Dimmer" mode, so if you plan on keeping it as a speed controller for the fan motor and a dimmer for the light portion, then you can skip this part. However, if you want the fan and/or light to only turn on/off, then feel free to move forward in configuring it to operate as an on/off module.
If you are trying to setup your module's fan and/or light to Smart Fan/Light Mode, please still select the Module's Fan/Light Mode from the below instructions, and then follow the directions to setup Smart Fan Mode.
Module Fan Mode (Exhaust or Ceiling)
To change your Whtie Series Fan/Light Canopy Module from a Ceiling Fan (Multi-Speed) to an On/Off Fan or vice versa in SmartThings, please follow the instructions below (again, by default it is set to a speed controller for a ceiling fan, so if that's what you want, you can ignore this step):

Module Light Mode (On/Off or Dimmer)
To change your White Series Fan/Light Canopy Module's light portion from a Dimmer to an On/Off Fan or vice versa in Hubitat, please follow the instructions below (again, by default it is set to be a dimmer, so if that's what you want, you can ignore this step):

Advanced Feature Setup
This module is packed with features and most of them come directly from this community. They've been debated back and forth, added to wishlists, and talked about over the course of 4+ years (as this module builds on our Red Series lineup).
Below we will provide a link to all the parameters and show you how to change them from within SmartThings and then we'll go into some of the advanced features and explain how to set them up in SmartThings.
Smart Bulb Mode
Smart Bulb Mode is a special mode that allows you to lock power into your smart bulbs in case you want to control them from a smart switch.
You can access smart fan mode by going into the settings and selecting, "52. Light Smart Bulb Mode".
Smart Fan Mode
Smart Fan Mode is a special mode that allows you to lock power into your smart fan in case you want to control it from a smart switch.
You can access smart fan mode by going into the settings and selecting, "52. Fan Smart Bulb Mode".
Matter Binding
Matter binding is when two or more Matter products communicate directly with one another without the need to communicate with a hub. There are two main benefits of utilizing Matter binding: speed & local control.
From a speed standpoint, cutting out the middle-man (hub) can save precious milliseconds or even seconds depending on your cloud and/or processing power off your hub. Whereas from a local control standpoint, if your hub goes does down and cannot communicate, your products can still talk to each other.
