REMINDER: This module is only to be used to control AC Motor exhaust and ceiling fans. Do not use the module on any sort of DC Motor.
IMPORTANT: Before installing your fan module, please ensure the fan motor is set to high speed if the fan has a pull-chain (if not, don't worry about this warning). If you notice that after you install your fan/light module the speeds are not as fast as they were prior to installing your module, it's likely that the motor was not on high (please adjust if you find this is the case).
NOTICE: You may notice that there is a, "Max Speed" level inside of your app. This is a bug inside the driver that we have no control over. There is no, "Max Speed", so please ignore.
NOTICE: If you're having trouble pairing, please ensure the following:
Matter Devices and Controllers Must Be on the Same L2 Network
VLAN Use Requires Matter Controller/Server to operate on that VLAN
Make sure your Homey app and your compatible Homey Border Router firmware is up-to-date
IPv6 Networking is Required for Matter Networks. Link-Local Addresses Are Allowed, Look for a Setting in your Router Called “Enable IPv6.” (Note: This does not require you to configure the IPv6 connection for your entire network)
This is the digital setup instructions for the White Series Smart Fan/Light Canopy Module on the Homey platform.

Navigating the Instructions
Please click on any of the sections in the Table of Contents to get started. We recommend working your way down as it follows an intentional flow that is user friendly and hub/gateway specific. As always, any questions, please see the Additional Resources links section or submit a ticket, we’re happy to help.
Quick Setup Instructions
Follow these instructions if you have already installed the Canopy Module and are just looking for quick pairing instructions. If this is your first time installing the Canopy Module, please skip this section and work your way through the sections below, starting with Prerequisites.
This section assumes the following:
You have a Homey system capable of adding Matter-over-Thread devices
You’re aware of the limitations
You’ve wired the device
Let’s begin:
Open the Homey app and tap "Devices" at the bottom of the screen
Tap the "+" icon in the upper-right corner and select "New Device"
Under "Technologies", select "Matter"
If prompted to choose how you would like to connect the device, select "Connect via Homey Pro" (recommended for most users)
Follow the on-screen instructions and scan the Matter QR Code located on the backside of the Canopy Module when prompted
Homey will begin adding your Inovelli Canopy Module. The LED Indicator on the module should begin pulsing blue. If it is not pulsing blue, tap the Pairing Button three (3) times to manually start the pairing process and try again
Once pairing is successful, the LED Indicator on the Canopy Module will flash green three (3) times
Follow the remaining prompts in Homey to assign the device to the location or zone of your choosing and rename it if desired
Once complete, your White Series Fan/Light Canopy Module should appear in Homey and be ready for use
NOTICE: If you're having trouble pairing, please ensure the following:
Make sure your Homey app and your compatible Homey Border Router firmware is up-to-date

If your LED Indicator refuses to pulse blue, then please hold down on the Pairing Button for approximately 20 seconds until the LED Indicator turns Red and then let go. The LED Indicator will blink red three times to confirm as shown in the video below.
If you'd like to use a smart switch to control the canopy module, please follow the setup instructions above to pair your canopy module and then follow these instructions to connect it to your smart switch: Setting Up Your White Series Fan/Light Canopy Module With an Inovelli Switch • Homey

Homey Limitations
Homey is a powerful smart home platform that offers extensive device support, automations, and integration with a wide range of smart home products.
With that said, there are some limitations with Homey that you should be aware of when using the White Series Fan/Light Canopy Module:
Advanced Inovelli features and settings are not currently exposed for the canopy module within Homey. The current Homey integration provides standard controls such as on/off and dimming, but does not expose all of the module’s advanced configuration options.
The way the fan and light controls are presented may differ from other platforms. Homey determines how the canopy module’s Matter endpoints and capabilities are mapped within the Homey interface.
Some configuration may need to be performed outside of Homey. Settings that are not exposed through the Homey integration will need to be configured using the available local configuration options or another supported method.
Certain advanced Matter or Inovelli-specific functionality may not be available within Homey. Feature availability can depend on what capabilities Homey currently supports and exposes for the canopy module.
Prerequisites
There are a couple of prerequisites required for pairing your Matter device to your Homey hub and they are as follows (NOTE: Most of these are enabled by default on your router, so you likely won't have to do anything):
Make sure your Homey app and your compatible Homey Border Router firmware is up-to-date
Matter Devices and Controllers Must Be on the Same L2 Network
VLAN Use Requires Matter Controller/Server to operate on that VLAN
IPv6 Networking is Required for Matter Networks. Link-Local Addresses Are Allowed, Look for a Setting in your Router Called “Enable IPv6.” (Note: This does not require you to configure the IPv6 connection for your entire network)
Installation Instructions
Before setting up your device within the Homey app, you will have to manually install your device and have it powered up. In order to do that, you (or your licensed electrician) will need to follow our Wiring Instructions which can be found below:
